As Caneel Bay Resort’s very own shopping haven, the gift shop showcases a variety of stylish clothing, swimwear, gifts and souvenirs. Peruse collections of jewelry and accessories crafted by local and international artisans, savor the scent of tropical lotions, including fragrant Bay Rum, and choose from a unique assortment of crafts from St. John and the surrounding Caribbean islands. You’ll also find snacks, books, magazines, newspapers and more. Open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily in winter and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in summer.
Located above the Water Sports Desk, the Dive Shop is your headquarters for water sports gear, featuring everything from snorkel equipment to wet suits, underwater tools and more. Here you’ll find sailboat accessories, books, and experts to direct your questions regarding our world-class dive program onsite.
The Tennis Pro Shop is your one-stop source for all things tennis. Located on the patio at the courts, the shop carries brand-name gear, apparel, refreshing bottled drinks and other accessories. Stock up on tennis rackets, balls, and clothes, including our own Caneel line of logo apparel. And if you need help with your game, check in with our PBI Professionals. All reservations for court time, lessons or information on programs are handled directly by the Pro Shop staff.
Browse the Marketplace in St. John, where you will find an assortment of shops, and restaurants, a local drugstore, pharmacy and a bank. Mail packages at the town’s post office with the same rates as the rest of the USA. Shop hours in St. John vary, but many shops are open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are open in the evenings, seasonally. Take a taxi to town for anywhere from $5 to $10 per person. While you are here, visit Coral Bay, where you’ll find unique shops and surprises just around the corner.
A true shopper’s dream destination in the Caribbean, Charlotte Amalie invites you to browse endless stores along Main Street, the waterfront and quaint alleyways. Find elegant gold jewelry, stylish clothes, and unique crafts. At various times throughout the day, Caneel Bay’s ferry leaves the resort to take guests downtown and returns at regular intervals. Check with Reception for the current ferry schedule. U.S. Customs Duty-Free Allowance is $1,000 per person. Most stores are closed Sundays.
